A great spot for free camping, Ulupna Island is a beautiful and peaceful place with sandy beaches and a shallow river that's perfect for swimming. There's heaps of space, even during holiday periods, and plenty of wildlife to spot. There are no facilities, but you can find what you need in the nearby town. Fire pits are allowed, and it's a great spot for fishing and 4WD trails. Be warned, it can get busy on public holidays so get in first!
