Beaches as far as the eye can see, crystal clear water and plenty of fishing opportunities, the Ningaloo Coast is an incredible piece of Australia that feels remote and untouched yet weirdly still accessible.
For those of us into snorkelling, you won't even need a boat to get close to the action - just swim or kayak a few hundred metres away from the coast and you're surrounded by hundreds of species of fish, coral and mollusc. If you're really lucky you might be able to see the short-nosed sea snake, an animal that was thought to be extinct until 2015!
Into fishing? There's a huge variety of different species hanging around with some epicly large trevally to be caught alongside red emperor, coral trout and Yellowfin Tuna.
So what are you waiting for? Here are our top places to stay near Ningaloo Station, depending on how adventurous you're feeling.
#5 Ningaloo Lighthouse Caravan Park
A solid option for those wanting to be a little closer to Ningaloo Station than Exmouth, but still have easy access to supplied and a toilet (hey you've gotta have some luxuries right?). From here it's about an hour drive down the coast to Lefroy Bay through the stunning Cape Range National Park.

#4 Ningaloo Station - North Lefroy Bay
North Lefroy is a little more secluded, protected from the elements than its south-side brother. With well separated sites this is a great place to camp if you're looking for a little more privacy. Once again you've got to be fully self contained however it is about 10 minutes closer to Exmouth than South Lefroy in case you run out of some essential supplies.

Second only to South Lefroy, Winderabandi's views are truly next level. You can camp about 20m from the water but from what we've heard fishing isn't great around here unless you venture out on a boat. Once again you'll need to be fully self contained, no showers or toilets, and be prepared for some windy days as there's not much protection from the elements.
See more#2 Ningaloo Station - South Lefroy Bay
South Lefroy offers some of the best views of the coast at the expense of being a bit more exposed to the elements. You'll need a 4-wheel-drive to get here and be fully self sufficient as there are no showers or toilets. It can get a little busier than other spots during peak times but if you're into fishing and beathetaking scenery, this is the pick.

#1 RAC Exmouth Cape Holiday Park
RAC Exmouth Cap Holiday Park is the perfect place to start your Ningaloo Station holiday. We recommending making this your first stop and using it as a base to explore some of the wilder and more challenging places to stay around. If you're happy to trade some driving time for some essential conveniences, RAC Exmouth Cap Holiday Park offers toilets, powered sites, cabins and even a swimming pool for the kids. From here you'll need to venture out for about an hour and a half to get to Ningaloo Station but hey in this part of the world, that's an equivalent to a drive down the block.
